Nintendo has reconfirmed that Paper Mario 3D, Animal Crossing 3DS and Luigi’s Mansion 2 for the Nintendo 3DS are still scheduled for a 2012 release in Japan. For North America, both Animal Crossing 3DS and Paper Mario 3DS are listed as “to be announced”, but Luigi’s Mansion is listed as being released this year.

Nintendo has reconfirmed that Animal Crossing 3D, Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Paper Mario 3D are all heading to the Nintendo 3DS this year in Japan. The company didn’t announce specific dates for these eagerly awaited titles other than they’re scheduled for a 2012 release. Hopefully, we will hear about American and European release dates at this year’s E3 event in June.

Yesterday, a rumor about the possible inclusion of a two player mode in Luigi’s Mansion arose. Today, Nintendo has officially confirmed that there was a mistake with the fact sheet published. Unfortunately, the game will not feature a two player mode.

In a recent update from Nintendo of Europe’s fact sheet about Luigi’s Mansion 2, the game is listed to have a two-player mode. No more details are given, however. We’ll have to wait for an official confirmation and more details from Nintendo.

Hideki Konno has been teasing a Luigi’s Mansion game for the Nintendo 3DS ever since the 3DS was revealed at last years E3. But finally, today, Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed that Luigi’s Mansion 2 is indeed in development for the Nintendo 3DS, and it will feature a lot of mansions. A trailer was also shown.
