Nintendo announces brand new Mario game for Nintendo 3DS

During Nintendo’s latest financial results briefing, the company’s global president Satoru Iwata has told investors that they are hard at work developing a brand new side-scrolling Mario title for the Nintendo 3DS. Iwata claims that the game is a “key title” for the Nintendo 3DS and will be released in the next fiscal year, that is at some point between March 2012 and April 2013.

    I hope it’s not another “New Super Mario Bros.”  game and is an orginal one using sprites. Sprites are the only way the 3DS games actually look good in 3D.
